Summer 2012

This summer has already been full of adventures and a ton of memories, and it is finally time for my summer working with Carolina Cross Connection to begin! In a few hours I will be packing up my car, leaving home, and embarking on what is sure to be a beautiful journey.  There are so many emotions and feelings that accompany the start of my summer, but I am so excited to see the Lord's plans for me and our ministry unravel.

In my month between exams and staff training I feel like I have been so busy even though I haven't had many official responsibilities.  After I attended beach retreat with Wesley Foundation I came home to the chaos of packing and moving.  About a month ago my Dad got a new job, so my family relocated to the eastern side of the state.  I love our new house and the new opportunities this move holds for my family.  Since we have been in the process of moving, my free time has largely been consumed by packing and resettling in our new home.  I am excited to reunite with old friends and begin forming new relationships at staff training tomorrow.  And most of all, I cannot wait to have some rest and time to invest in my relationship with God.  My life has been a little hectic lately, and here in a few weeks it will become even more hectic.  But I am looking forward to embracing some rest for my soul and true fellowship with my staff family.

I cannot believe it but CCC Summer 2012 is finally beginning tomorrow...my bags are packed and ready or not I leave bright and early tomorrow morning.  I am praying that the Lord will take my fears, nerves, and expectations and give me a heart filled with His love with eyes and ears open to His love in motion all around me.
