Today is my parents 25th wedding anniversary and I am so excited for them in this milestone! Growing up and having loving parents to show me what love looks like has been and continues to be something I am beyond thankful for.

While I am sure my parents would tell your their relationship has not been perfect, I have never doubted how much they love each other. Even in their arguments and tough seasons, they have stood by one another and set an example for my sister and I to follow. I hope that if I ever become a wife and parent that I can be that same positive influence and leader of my family.
My parents have helped me develop my faith and encouraged me to pursue the Lord and grow in my walk with Him. They have never forced any beliefs on me or my sister, but helped us develop our own understandings and learn about the love of Christ by experiencing it. They have met my doubts and questions with open arms and accompanied me in pursuing the answers.

Congratulations to my mom and dad on the past 25 years of their journey together! I am so blessed to have such amazing parents to learn from - I can't wait to see where life takes us together - here's to the last 25 years and the many more that will follow!
(*Note - I am so bummed that I don't have my favorite picture of my parents together at school with me as it is hanging on our refrigerator at home. It used to be a bookmark in my Bible and it would always make me smile. It is a candid picture of them on a beach trip we went on growing up and they just look so in love...they are laughing and it is precious)
